If you’ve received a call or a text message and someone is rushing you or pressuring you to give them your bank details or take out a loan, rest assured that this is, unfortunately, how many of the daily fraud attempts begin. Cybercriminals are using increasingly ingenious methods to obtain people’s personal and financial data, taking advantage of inattention, haste, or emotions.

That’s why Moldindconbank is always there for its customers and urges them to be cautious.

If you’ve fallen into a trap, don’t go it alone. Ask for help immediately! Call 112 and report the situation. The police will guide you on how to avoid making the situation worse. Contact the bank to block your card and prevent any potential financial losses.

To protect yourself from fraud, we urge you to follow a few simple but essential tips:

1. DO NOT give your card details (number, expiration date, name on the card, CVV code) to anyone, even if they claim to be an employee of a bank or an official institution.

2. DO NOT respond to messages received via SMS, email, or messaging apps asking for your banking information or access codes. Banks never request such information through these channels.

3. DO NOT write your PIN on the back of your card and do not disclose it to anyone. Do not carry your card’s PIN in your wallet.

4. If your card is lost or stolen, block it immediately through the Mobile Banking app and notify the bank at 022 71 71 71.

5. Manage your transaction limits for ATMs and POS terminals (in-person or online) directly from the Mobile Banking app, according to your needs.

6. Be vigilant about any suspicious messages or calls that cause panic, a sense of urgency, or time pressure—these are classic signs of a fraud attempt.

Ask questions when you’re unsure or find yourself in an unfamiliar situation. Many victims of fraud let fear get the better of them and found it difficult to ask for help and stop the fraud.

Moldindconbank reminds customers that the security of their money and personal data starts with each user’s caution.
