Green Card Insurance

Green Card insurance protectsthe motor vehicle owners by covering damages caused by the Insured to third parties, following road accidents occurred outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

It is established based on the provisions of the legislation of the country where the accident occurred.

It is valid for a period of 15 days to 12 months.

The insurance cost is calculated subject to the following factors: type and parameters of the motor vehicle;  Green Card area type.


The Green Card insurance protects the motor vehicle owners by covering damages caused by the Insured to third parties, following road accidents occurred outside the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
The insurance shall cover the following damages caused:
  • During the movement or parking of the insured motor vehicle.
  • Following the accidental detachment of trailers, semi-trailers or attachments, while the insured motor vehicle is moving.
  • As a result of the accidental leakage, spillage or fall of transported substances, materials or objects.
  • By the devices or installations with which the insured motor vehicle was equipped.
  • When getting into and out of the motor vehicle.
The insurance shall not cover damages caused by:
  • Accidents caused by force majeure, including through various military actions or measures during war, exceptional states, natural disasters, nuclear explosions, radiation or radioactive pollution, civil unrests, terrorist activities.
  • Exclusive fault of the injured party.
  • Intentionally caused accidents.
  • Accidents in which the driver: is under the influence of alcohol or drugs; does not have a driver’s license corresponding to the category; does not have the vehicle inspection certificate; tries to flee from pursuit at the time of committing a crime.
  • Other exclusions in accordance with the legislation and international agreements in force.
Documents to be submitted for the conclusion of the insurance contract:
  • – Identity card or other identity document (driver’s license).
  • – Vehicle registration certificate.
