The highest security standard provided to Moldindconbank cardholders that involves the authorization of the transaction with a one-time password additionally generated, for online card payments made  at merchants certified for this service.

Free – Free of charge for connecting and using the 3D-Secure service.

The Service is automatically triggered, while making online transactions at merchants/on websites that support 3D Secure standard.

 

MICB 3D Secure – a service to secure online payments through the electronic authentication of the cardholder, when making transactions on websites that support the relevant technology.

The 3D Secure service is triggered, while making the online transaction,  by registering the card issued in the name of the holder, as well as by additional identification of the cardholder through one of the following methods:

SMS authentication – with the password sent through a SMS to the smartphone number registered in the database of the Bank.

Mobile authentication – with the password generated in the MICB Mobile-Banking application, installed on the smartphone of the cardholder.

ATM authentication – with the password specified in the list of one-time passwords generated at any Moldindconbank ATM.

To make transactions on websites that support the 3D Secure standard, transactions must be confirmed with a one-time password generated by one of the above methods (SMS/Mobile/ATM).

If you are travelling abroad and the access to your personal phone number is limited, you can make online transactions using 3D Secure through one of the following authentication methods:

Mobile OTP – by activating in advance the MICB Mobile-Banking application and setting the access code.

ATM OTP – by obtaining in advance the list of one-time passwords at one of the Moldindconbank ATMs.

  • Keep bankcards and their related data in such a way that they are not accessible to third parties.
  • If you receive SMSs with one-time passwords, make sure that third parties do not have access to them.
  • In case of authentication through Mobile-Banking, it restricts the access to third parties to the smartphone, as well as to the mobile application.
  • In  case of ATM authentication, make sure that third parties do not have access to the list of one-time passwords.
  • Protect your personal computer/smartphone with special security software, antivirus software, restrict third party access to devices, and use other information protection methods.
  • Do not copy or store one-time passwords where they will be available to third parties.
  • Monitor from time to time the transactions made in the bank statements of your card accounts.
  • In case of a SMS, change/delete the phone number from the database of the Bank, through the SMS Notification service at the ATM or by calling the Card Support Service: +373 22 71 71 71 (available 24/24) .
  • In case of Mobile, change the access password in the mobile application or inform the Card Support Service, in order to suspend the access to the application.
  • In case of ATM, generate a new list of one-time passwords or cancel the existing password list by calling the Card Support Service.
