Moldindconbank supports school modernization: the sports hall at Ivan Vazov Highschool Taraclia has been inaugurated

âIvan Vazovâ Highschool in Taraclia has officially inaugurated its fully renovated sports hall within the framework of the National Partnership âMoldova for Educationâ. This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education and Research, was supported by Moldindconbank with a contribution of 2 million lei and implemented by the âThe Moldova Project.â NGO.
The new sports hall underwent a complete renovation as part of an extensive reconstruction and modernization process, which included the development of the technical project, full space refurbishment, replacement of flooring, modernization of the electrical system, installation of a high-performance ventilation system, renovation of changing rooms, improvement of sanitary facilities and showers, as well as equipping the hall with new sports equipment.
Moreover, the modernization was carried out based on an innovative project â financially supported by Moldindconbank â for the redesign of sports halls, which will be implemented in at least 90 schools across the country.
Present at the event, Igor Stratan, Head of the Network and Alternative Channels Department at Moldindconbank, stated that the institutionâs involvement in such projects is natural, as they represent direct investments in the future of the Republic of Moldova.
âFor Moldindconbank, investments in education are investments in the countryâs future and in the generations that will build the Moldova of tomorrow. We are proud to support the national project âMoldova for Educationâ, including by financing an innovative initiative for redesigning sports halls, which will be implemented in at least 90 schools across the country. The hall inaugurated at the âIvan Vazovâ Highschool in Taraclia proves that students in the Republic of Moldova deserve educational infrastructure of the highest standards,â Igor Stratan said.

Igor Stratan highlighted that Moldindconbank specifically chose the highschool in Taraclia because the main shareholder of the financial institution is an investment group from Bulgaria, and supporting the Bulgarian ethnic community in the Republic of Moldova is part of the bankâs core values.
The inauguration was also attended by Ivan Duminica, Head of the Service for Interethnic Relations Policies within the Ministry of Education and Research, who emphasized the importance of investing in modern school infrastructure.
âThrough such projects, we are building a safe, functional, and motivating educational environment for students. The modernization of sports infrastructure contributes not only to improving the educational process but also to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among young people,â the Ministry representative said.

Emilia Zaporojan, the schoolâs director, mentioned that the project was implemented between August 2025 and May 2026 and welcomed Moldindconbankâs involvement in supporting the educational community in Taraclia.
âWe thank Moldindconbank for their involvement and for ensuring that our students now have proper conditions for training and physical education classes,â Emilia Zaporojan said.
In turn, Victoria Morozov, President of the âThe Moldova Projectâ Association emphasized the direct impact that investments in educational infrastructure have on students and teachers.
âA modern, safe, and well-equipped space changes how activities are carried out, increases student engagement, and strengthens a schoolâs ability to create real opportunities for the development of the young generation,â Victoria Morozov stated.

At the âIvan Vazovâ Highschool in Taraclia, approximately 500 pupils are enrolled, and such projects contribute not only to modernizing infrastructure but also to strengthening confidence in the future â for pupils, parents, and teachers alike.
