Moldindconbank is investing in a pentathlon project for children from placement centers

For some children, a sports training session means much more than just movement. It means the first “you can do it,” the first “well done,” the first feeling of being appreciated and capable of success. And when someone offers them support and confidence, these moments can become the beginning of a new journey. Driven by the desire to support such stories, Moldindconbank is getting involved in the social project “Inclusive Pentathlon for Children: Five Steps Toward the Future,” launched by the Modern Pentathlon Federation of the Republic of Moldova for children from vulnerable backgrounds.
In the first stage, the project is dedicated to children from the “Casa Gavroche” center, and later, it will include children from other temporary placement centers designated by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Chisinau. Over the course of a year, the children will take part in regular modern pentathlon training sessions, organized four times a week. The young athletes will discover fencing, swimming, laser-run, and obstacle course racing — sports that help them develop not only their physical fitness but also discipline, patience, teamwork, and self-confidence.

The program provides children with full sports equipment, access to gyms and swimming pools, medical supervision, and special activities for social integration. An important highlight of the project will be “Kids Pentathlon Day,” an event where participants will showcase their progress and experience a competition built on support, friendship, and motivation.
Through its involvement in this project, Moldindconbank continues to support initiatives that bring real change to the community and create opportunities for children who need support and encouragement. In the year marking its 35th anniversary, the bank reaffirms that one of the most important investments remains the investment in people and in the future of new generations.

The Deputy Chairman of the Moldindconbank Management Board, Dmytro Krepak, stated that such initiatives have a special value because of the impact they have on children.
“Children need to feel that someone believes in them and gives them the chance to grow. Through this project, sport becomes more than just a physical activity — it becomes a source of confidence, hope, and motivation. We are glad that Moldindconbank can contribute to a project that helps these children discover that they can have courage, dreams, and beautiful prospects for the future,” Dmytro Krepak said.

Through the “Inclusive Pentathlon for Children: Five Steps Toward the Future” project, sports become a real tool for social integration and personal development, giving children the chance to grow in an environment that supports, motivates, and reassures them that they are not alone.
