Beware of “fake investments – fake crypto brokers/platforms” scams

This type of scam targets people who want to invest in stocks, FOREX, cryptocurrency, or other financial instruments.

How does it work?

Creating the appearance of legitimacy:

– Scammers build professional-looking websites or apps, copy interfaces from real brokers, and use fake logos and licenses.
– They aggressively promote themselves through ads on social media, emails, and even phone calls “from financial advisors.”

Contacting the victim

– The victim is approached with messages such as “invest easily and earn quickly” or “guaranteed 30% monthly return.”
– A “demo account” is made available where the person sees fictitious profits, in order to gain their trust.

Investment temptation

– The victim deposits a small amount (for example, €200–500) and sees on the platform that “profits are growing.”
– The “consultants” urge the victim to invest more for “higher profits.”

Withholding funds

– When the victim tries to withdraw funds, they are given false reasons: they must pay a withdrawal fee, tax, commission, or make an additional investment.
– If the victim refuses or becomes suspicious, the scammers disappear or block access to the platform.

Have you received messages that give you false hope, such as “invest easily and earn quickly” or “guaranteed 30% interest per month”?

Don’t fall prey to the illusion of quick profits. “Fake investment” scams are designed to leave you without the money you have or borrow.
