Moldindconbank joins ASEM in celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the educational institution’s founding

A true partnership is built over time, through trust, people, and projects that add value. This is also the story of the collaboration between Moldindconbank and the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova—a partnership based on a shared conviction: education is one of the most important investments in the future.
With this vision in mind, Moldindconbank joined ASEM in celebrating the 35th anniversary of its founding. The festive event brought together professors, students, alumni, representatives of government and the business community, and the institution’s partners in an atmosphere of celebration and gratitude. The ceremony was followed by a reception for the academic community and ASEM’s partners.
The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, an ASEM graduate, spoke about the Academy’s role in training generations of professionals who are contributing to the country’s development today.
“Over the past three and a half decades, ASEM has succeeded in training generations of economists, managers, accountants, and financiers. Today, we find them in companies and banks, in government institutions, in international organizations, and in businesses established here or abroad. And now, after 35 years, we find ourselves once again in the midst of profound upheavals that are fundamentally changing humanity and the way we work, produce, learn, and build our future,” said Maia Sandu.
For his part, Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research, highlighted ASEM’s progress and the institution’s growth in recent years.
“Today we are celebrating 35 years of academic excellence. We are celebrating a young but extremely dynamic university. I want to congratulate everyone who has helped build this university over the past 35 years and to thank the professors, staff, students, and everyone who has made this university truly iconic. ASEM is one of the universities with which the Ministry of Education has had an extraordinary collaboration in recent years. I’m glad that this year you already have a wonderful problem—too many students and the need to find faculty members to meet this growth,” said Dan Perciun.
For ASEM Rector Alexandru Stratan, the anniversary is a moment for reflection, but also a reaffirmation of the institution’s responsibility toward the future.
“Thirty-five years after its founding, ASEM is part of the recent history of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, it is one of the places where the country’s economic future is being shaped. We have a tradition we honor, experience we build upon, and talented young people who inspire us and compel us to evolve. Today, ASEM reaffirms its commitment to remain a modern, responsible, and innovative university, rooted in the realities of the Republic of Moldova and connected to European standards,” said Alexandru Stratan.
Moldindconbank: “We invest in education, in people, and in the future”
For Moldindconbank, ASEM’s anniversary was also an opportunity to reaffirm the value of a partnership built over time and grounded in a shared belief: investing in education and in people is an investment in the future of the Republic of Moldova.
During the festive reception that followed the ceremony, Moldindconbank received a diploma of gratitude for its support and contribution to the development of the academic community.

Denis Cheptine, Deputy Chairman of Moldindconbank’s Management Board, emphasized that the bank’s involvement in the academic environment means more than simply supporting projects.
“For Moldindconbank, this collaboration is an investment in education, an investment in people, and an investment in the future of the Republic of Moldova. We believe that support for the academic environment is essential, because this is where the people who will contribute to the development of tomorrow’s economy are being shaped. That is why we support many initiatives coming from this sector and try to stand alongside projects that create real opportunities for young people,” said Denis Cheptine.
The Moldindconbank Deputy Chairman also highlighted one of the projects developed together with ASEM, which brings the academic and business environments closer together.
“Together with ASEM, we are implementing a very valuable initiative — Chișinău Business School. We are glad to be able to contribute to such projects. We want this collaboration to continue, to grow, and to generate as many successful projects and opportunities for students as possible,” Denis Cheptine added.
The partnership between Moldindconbank and ASEM thus reflects a shared vision of the role of education in the development of society and the economy. Through the projects they support together, the bank and the Academy contribute to creating a space where young people can gain not only knowledge, but also experience relevant to their future careers.
Moldindconbank congratulates the entire ASEM community on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of its founding and wishes the Academy new generations of professionals, ambitious projects, and many more achievements. Happy anniversary, ASEM!
