Transactional limits and fees for MIA Instant Payments

  • Maximum amount per transaction – 5000 MDL
  • Maximum amount per day, cumulative – 10,000 MDL
  • Maximum amount per month, cumulative – 30,000 MDL
  • For RTP transactions (Request To Pay), a maximum of 10 requests per day is allowed.
  • Transfers of up to MDL 10,000 per month are commission-free, while for larger amounts, the commission charged will not exceed MDL 5 per transfer.

  • Carefully verify the transfer details.
  • Avoid scanning QR codes from unreliable sources.
  • Thoroughly check the opened URL address.
  • Ensure that the payment link you receive is from a correct source.

All mobile banking users in the Republic of Moldova, who have a payment account with a bank or payment institution. The identifier necessary to initiate a transfer will be a mobile phone number registered in the database of the bank or payment institution.

  1. Update the Moldindconbank mobile app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Access the Settings/Payments/MIA Settings section within the mobile app.
  3. Select the account you wish to set up.
  4. Activate the MIA payment system and save your settings.

The maximum time allocated for processing a payment is 20 seconds. The service is available at any time of day, throughout the year (24/7/365).

No, instant transfers are exclusively in Moldovan Lei (MDL), between accounts opened at participating banks in the system.

The RTP service is a payment request initiated through the mobile app and sent to another user of the MIA system. The request is valid for 24 hours and can be accepted or rejected by the recipient. You also have a transfer history where you manage all requests.

The Me2Me service allows you to transfer money between your own accounts opened at different banks, provided they are enrolled at least once in the Mia Instant Payments System.

Scan the QR code using MICB Mobile Banking app, enter or confirm the transfer amount, verify the entered details, and confirm the payment.

Access the received link, on the opened page select the bank through which you wish to make the payment, and you will be redirected to complete the payment in the mobile app. Check the transfer details and press confirm to complete the payment.

Once a transfer has been made, it cannot be cancelled. Please carefully verify the recipient’s phone number or the information obtained via QR code or link before confirming the transfer.
