Moldindconbank supports the first edition of the United Shakespeare International Festival

Culture has the power to unite people across borders and time. In this spirit, Moldindconbank is joining as a general partner of the first edition of the United Shakespeare International Festival, an event that will transform ChiČinÄu into a vibrant center of European theater between the 14th and 19th of October 2025.
The festival aims to highlight European artistic diversity through productions inspired by the universal works of William Shakespeare.
“Culture is a universal language that helps us understand each other better. For Moldindconbank, supporting art and cultural values is an investment in people, education, and the future of society. We are honored to be partners of a festival that brings artists from all over Europe to ChiČinÄu and transforms the city into a veritable theater capital,” Alexander Picker, Chairman of the Managing Board of Moldindconbank, said.
The United Shakespeare International Festival brings together theatrical troupes and artists from Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Spain, and the United Kingdom, offering audiences a variety of performancesāfrom classical interpretations to contemporary performances and choreographic experiments.
The events will be hosted by four theaters in the capital: the Nameless Theater, the A.P. Over the course of six days, audiences will be able to enjoy renowned productions such as Hamlet (Marin Sorescu National Theater, Craiova), Macbeth (Teatro ClĆ”sico de Sevilla, Spain), Richard III (Teatrul de Nord, Satu Mare), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (directed by Mihai Čarna, Chisinau), and Feast: A Play in One Cooking (United Kingdom).
