Moldindconbank reconfirms that one of its priorities is to invest in the quality education system in the Republic of Moldova and proudly announces joining the Moldova for Education National Partnership.

“Moldova for Education” is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Research, carried out under the patronage of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova.

“The event is dedicated to the business environment that we want to bring closer to education. We are glad that there are companies that recognize that investing in education means investing in human capital, in their future employees, and they are with us to solve the strategic challenges that our system has and provide quality education for every child,” said Minister of Education and Research, Dan Perciun, at the launch of the Moldova for Education National Partnership, an event that took place during Education Week.

Moldindconbank is one of the 11 companies that will contribute with funding totaling MDL 17 million to the project launched. The resources will be allocated to equip study rooms, laboratories, school libraries, sports halls, as well as the construction of greenhouses for biology lessons, purchase and installation of equipment for the Internet network, digital libraries, etc.

The commitment to participate in the initiative of the Ministry of Education was reconfirmed on behalf of Moldindconbank by the First Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board of the Bank, Victor Cibotaru.

“Moldindconbank is permanently involved in large-scale social projects. Moldova for Education, in our opinion, is a very important project and we could not refuse the invitation to participate in it and come with a contribution of MDL 2 million. Taking into account the fact that Moldindconbank has been more involved in various projects for the development of sports for young people and children, we would like to channel this donation for the repair and improvement of sports halls and sports fields in schools in Moldova”, the First Deputy Chairman of the Managing Board said.

Attending the launch event of the Moldova for Education National Partnership, the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, said that in order to be successful, the project requires support from both the authorities and the business environment.

“We aim to mobilize the efforts of the government, business community, civil society and external partners to improve the quality of education in Moldovan schools,” Grosu said.

The first objective of the partnership is to modernize and equip 35 institutions of the Model Schools Network. The total cost of the project amounts to more than €70 million. Part of this expenditure will be covered by the country’s development partners, but also from the state budget.
