Moldindconbank donated a professional wrestling mat to the Women’s Wrestling Hall at the Republican Sports High School in Chisinau—an iconic place where famous names in Moldovan sports, such as Anastasia Nichita and Irina Ringaci, were trained.

The next generation of athletes is already benefiting from this investment in safety and performance, training intensively for the U17 World Championship, which will take place at the end of July.

“Moldindconbank supports athletic performance and invests in the future of young talent in the Republic of Moldova. This donation is part of our commitment to supporting women’s sports through tangible initiatives aimed at creating better conditions for training and competition. We are proud to stand alongside these young people who are carrying the country’s name forward,” Alexander Picker, Chairman of the Managing Board of Moldindconbank, said.

The donation was made possible thanks to the charity mini-football tournament organized by Pudra Card by Moldindconbank in May.

“We thank Moldindconbank for its support in creating optimal training conditions. This is an important step towards training future champions and strengthening women’s sport in Moldova,” Anastasia Chiperi, director of the institution, said.

“The new mat not only provides us with greater comfort during training, but above all safety—reducing the risk of injury is essential. The existing mat was over 20 years old and no longer met modern standards,” Andrei Chiperi, coach, stated.

“This year alone, our athletes have won six medals at international competitions. Since the official introduction of women’s wrestling in Moldova, we have brought home nearly 60 medals. These results prove that it is worth investing in them,” Petru Chiperi, coach, added.

Through this initiative, Moldindconbank reaffirms its active role in the community and in supporting young athletes, promoting equal opportunities and performance.
