Moldindconbank supports energy efficiency in residential buildings. Pilot project implemented in Balti

Moldindconbank is proud to announce the financing of an important project for the housing sector in the Republic of Moldova, which helps to save energy.
The main objective is to increase energy efficiency and utilize renewable energy sources in residential buildings across the country. At the same time, the project contributes to reducing the energy vulnerability of domestic consumers.
The FEERM program offers direct financial support to condominium owners’ associations (APC) in the form of:
grants covering up to 70% of the eligible investment value;
allowances for condominium owners’ associations, which can cover up to 90% of their contribution, depending on the energy vulnerability of the household. This allowance can be covered by a bank loan, and Moldindconbank is the first bank in the country to offer such financing.
A specific example of success is the project implemented in the municipality of Balti, in the apartment building located at 3A Čtefan cel Mare Street, with 80 apartments. The total value of the project is 10 million lei, of which 8 million lei were granted in the form of European funds, and 2 million lei represent the amount of the loan allocated by Moldindconbank, thanks to which the financial burden on tenants has been significantly reduced.
The implementation process included an energy audit, selection of the most suitable technical solutions and design and construction partners, approval of the project by the association’s general meeting, and careful monitoring of implementation.
Through this project, Moldindconbank reaffirms its commitment to supporting Moldova’s transition to a more sustainable future and more energy-efficient housing by providing affordable solutions tailored to the needs of communities.
