Moldindconbank helps save lives by joining the blood donation campaign
Moldindconbank team marked World Blood Donor Day, helping to save lives by donating blood and blood derivatives.
As in previous years, dozens of the Bank’s employees choose to do a good deed and become superheroes for patients in dire need of blood.
Some Moldindconbank employees participate in such actions for the first time. Others, including Valentin Nuca, Head of SME and Premium Department, are recurring donors and believe that everyone should follow their example.
“I have donated blood more than 50 times. The first time was in 1995, when I was at university, for friends who were in a car accident. I had a fear because I did not know how the body would react, but everything went well. Since then I started donating blood a few times a year. I know that blood is constantly needed for sick people. It is also good for your personal health,” Valentin Nuca said.
Vasilii Ursu, trade specialist at Marketing and PR Department, is also a faithful donor. He came to the blood transfusion point for the 13th time, convinced that any donation can make the difference between life and death.
“I first donated blood in 2016 to help a friend who was in hospital. After a break of a couple of years, I started donating systematically, a few times a year, after the 3-month period since my last donation expired. I hope my involvement helps people who need blood in difficult medical cases,” Vasilii Ursu said.
Tatiana Marcu, PR manager at Moldindconbank, said that this is an act of social responsibility, which will be a real support for the needs of the medical system.
“Moldindconbank always supports charitable actions in the country. I am glad that this time again, my colleagues supported our initiative to donate blood collectively, taking a simple but altruistic step to support local health systems and save lives,” Tatiana Marcu said.
The World Blood Donor Day is marked annually on June 14. This year, the event is organized under the slogan: “20 years of unconditional happiness, thank you, the blood donor!”
