Moldindconbank has selected the model school that will be modernized with the financial support of the bank, from the list proposed by the Ministry of Education and Research, within the National Program “Moldova for Education”. It is the “Ivan Vazov” Theoretical High School in Taraclia, where the gymnasium will be repaired.

The school principle thanked Moldindconbank for its involvement in modernizing the school.

”I am awfully glad  that our high school has been chosen for the “Model School” program, because all sports events at the district level are organized in our gym. It is large and can accommodate a large number of students, but we have also managed to maintain the sports inventory, which is not available anymore at many schools,” said the headmistress of the school, Ludmila Peeva.

At the moment, the school has 425 students enrolled in the main building and 81 children in a branch of the institution. However, the school’s capacity is much higher – 1560 students.

“We are a regional high school, many children from surrounding villages come to us to learn. We have many students from Taraclia. Thanks to your support, we will be able to provide better conditions for children to study and train,” says Ludmila Peeva.

Chairman of the Managing Board of Moldindconbank, Alexander Picker, emphasized that the institution has a strong commitment to supporting society and has so far provided consistent support for various social projects, including sports and education.

“The majority shareholder of Moldindconbank is the Doverie holding company from Bulgaria, which provides support, through us, to ethnic Bulgarians in the Republic of Moldova. This is one of the reasons why we specifically chose “Ivan Vazov” high school in Taraclia, the cultural center of the Bessarabian Bulgarians. And because we are convinced that sport is very important as an element of education for children, we decided to focus our efforts specifically on modernizing the gym. Now we are at the stage of estimating the necessary works and design”, said the Chairman of the Managing Board of Moldindconbank.

We remind that Moldindconbank joined, in Spring, the national partnership “Moldova for Education”, launched by the Ministry of Education and Research, under the patronage of the country’s President Maia Sandu. The bank is contributing 2 000 000 lei to improve the quality of education in Moldova.
