Kindergartens across the country can participate in the Moldindconbank and ULTRA contest "Choose filters instead of plastic"

Moldindconbank, in partnership with the Ā ULTRA, electronics and home appliances showroom, is launching the second edition of the “Choose filters instead of plastic” campaign between July 14 and September 15, 2025, which is an initiative that promotes the consumption of filtered water and reduces the use of single-use plastic in kindergartens in the Republic of Moldova.
This year’s campaign, dedicated to kindergartens across the country, takes the form of a creative competition and aims to encourage environmental education from an early age. Under the slogan “Good water for a healthy generation,” the campaign conveys an essential message: “Every drop countsāa healthy generation starts with clean water.” By involving children, educators, and the community, the campaign transforms environmental education into a practical exercise with real and lasting impact.
“We strongly believe that change starts with the simplest everyday habits. Through this campaign, we want to help kindergartens provide children with access to clean and healthy water, while teaching them to value nature and its resources. Water filters are not only a practical solution, but also a means of educating a more responsible generation. We want this initiative to be an example of how caring for health and the environment can go hand in hand, starting from childhood,” said Tzvetanka Kroumova, First Deputy Chairman of Moldindconbank.
In turn, Nicolae Popescu, Head of B2C Sales at Ultra, emphasized the importance of the partnership with the educational environment: “It is a concrete step towards a more sustainable future. Through such projects, we not only manage to offer modern and efficient solutions for water consumption, but also contribute to the formation of a generation that understands the impact of their choices on the planet. Children learn by example and involvement, and this campaign creates exactly the right context for both.”
How to register your kindergarten for the contest
Participation in the contest is simple and free of charge. Interested kindergartens can access the registration form available on Moldindconbank’s official website and on the bank’s Facebook page. The form asks for some basic information about the institution, contact details, and a brief description of previous activities related to ecology, recycling, or responsible consumption.
Each kindergarten will then create and submit a creative piece of work, made together with the children, on the theme “Why is clean water important for children?” The work can be a collective drawing, collage, creative photograph, short video, or digital poster. Each institution can submit only one work.
After the registration period ends, the 10 best projects will be selected and presented to the public on Moldindconbank’s social networks, where they can be voted on by the community.
What your kindergarten can win
The prizes are both symbolic and extremely useful. The kindergarten that wins first place will receive a complete water filtration system installed, with taps in each classroom and free maintenance for one year, provided by our partner Ultra. Second and third place winners will each receive a large professional filter.
These modern filtration solutions not only contribute to children’s health by removing impurities and harmful substances from the water, but also reduce the amount of plastic waste, setting a real example of sustainable consumption.
Moldindconbank encourages all kindergartens to join this initiative, which combines environmental education with caring for children’s health. Registration is simple, and the benefits are long-termāboth for future generations and for the environment.
