Linux Systems & Security Engineer, Information Technology Department

Moldindconbank is is expanding its Infrastructure team and we’re looking for a Linux Systems & Security Engineer with a strong passion for infrastructure administration and IT security. Your role will be to manage and secure our Linux environment, focusing on stability, availability, and the implementation of rigorous security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain physical and virtual Linux servers.
• Implement and manage IT security policies, access mechanisms, and system hardening.
• Manage security updates, patching protocols, and vulnerability remediation.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability using tools like Zabbix or Nagios.
• Ensure robust backup and Disaster Recovery solutions for all Linux systems.
• Investigate security events and participate in incident response activities.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Document technical procedures, system changes, and support security audits.
• Participate in infrastructure modernization and optimization projects.

Requirements

• Higher education in IT or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Linux system administration.
• Hands-on expertise in Linux security, troubleshooting, and administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, Firewall, Routing).
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
• Solid understanding of IT security best practices and hardening techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex issues with a results-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Relevant certifications: Linux+, RHCSA/RHCE, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with automated monitoring and configuration management.
• Familiarity with banking security requirements and audit processes.
